From garden to plate, thanks to ecological urban farms

A vertical vegetable garden in the "A l'Epicerie" restaurants means
the innovative idea behind the Atypio network, to be rolled out in early 2023.

This project, rooted in the future and sustainability, will support agriculture by self-producing up to 25% of the needs of the "A l'Epicerie" tables.

Operator

Agripolis is our partner in this forward-looking initiative! At the outset, qualified engineers and market gardeners from all backgrounds and of all ages came together to share their vision of the resilient city and innovate to imagine the agriculture of tomorrow. In this way, the company has been able to create its own systems. By using organic techniques and methods, its means of production has a strong environmental value. TECHNIQUES : This project, rooted in the future and sustainability, uses vertical cultivation techniques (hydroponics and aeroponics), which have already been used for some time for strawberries and lettuces, and combines them with organic techniques based on open soil. The garden is made up of gutters and columns up to 3m high. They are hollow. The plants are nestled inside in alveoli, their roots dangling in the dark (and not in the soil, of course), and they are showered every 12-15 minutes with a mixture of water and nutrients, in a totally closed circuit.
